Hunter MC Romance Hell Reapers MC Book 1 edition by Liz Lorde M M Chabot Literature Fiction eBooks

Trouble swaggers in black leather, and a happy ending never comes easy.
Jessica
I've been abused too long, and I had to leave the man that still makes my skin crawl with fear.
My mother is dying, and I'll have take an undercover job that I never wanted.
Infiltrate a brotherhood of badass bikers? No problem. Fall for the rugged, tattooed outlaw who'll kill me if he finds out my secret?
Sh*t.
Now a ruthless rival gang has put my life in danger, and the wrath of my unstable ex makes matters worse.
Even I can admit when I'm in over my head.
Hunter
Business as usual for me, moving product, keeping the gritty underworld balanced. This is my life, and I hold the world by the balls.
I'm not patched yet, and that's because something, or someone, is holding me back. But who?
Answers I never knew I needed hit me like a ton of bricks when that gorgeous girl shows up. She's got a mouth on her, and a temper to match the devil. You know she's going to be another notch on my post.
Except... I can already feel it. That thorn in my chest, for the first time in my life I'm f*cking helpless.
She doesn't know it, but I'll make her mine. I'll claim and ravage her sweet body, until there's no doubt.
I own her.
HUNTER is a full length, 100K word, two-scoops of panty melting HEA goodness, bona-fide bad-boy romance. There are NO cliffhangers, and plenty of steam.

First, love the cover. Hunters image pulls you in to want to open the book & read his story.Second, I had a hard time getting into the beginning of the book but then I was pulled in & the pages flew.
I gave it 4 stars for the following reasons. When I am reading I hate the flow to be disturbed by editing errors. It annoys me that writers pay for someone to edit their stories & there are errors. Also most MC do not discuss business with their girls/wives. I clearly understand Hunter wanting & needing to share everything with Jessica but men are tight lipped about business. This being said it put an unrealistic element to the story.
I would be interested to know what type of research you did?
I could feel how Jess grew in confidence, self worth & survival. When Tommy took her I was yelling cut him. I wanted her to live! Reading about Hunter was real to me. Although society has preconceived ideas about MC, they are people from different walks of life. I don't think the part involving Hunter, Jameson, Reyes & Jerry was too gory. This is part of a lifestyle, it is family. Things are handled no differently in a large Italian family, where mob is involved. I enjoyed the part when he becomes a dad & breaks a cycle by wanting to do right by his children. I am sure that your struggles will become less as your story evolves.

Hunter MC Romance Hell Reapers MC Book 1 edition by Liz Lorde M M Chabot Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
I really liked this MC romance. The beginning is a little slow,
but quickly picks up and will have you reading late into the night.
Loved Hunter, he's a perfect book boyfriend. (I would also like to
state that I have never been spammed by this author, and have
never had any problems with her newsletter.) I truly enjoyed it, and
would definitely recommend it to everyone.
What can I say, other than this is fantastic. The supposedly intelligent female lead sounds like a petulant 13 year old and the lead male, he sounds and behaves like a 13 year old boy imagines how a biker would be. I couldn't even get through the first 10 chapters without rolling my eyes more frequently than a set of dice on a craps table in Vegas.
Jessica works at a newspaper when one day she gets a story that could help her get more money for her mother. She has to get info on a biker gang. However once she meets them not everything is as it seems. She meets Hunter the golden boy prospect who finally thinks he found a girl who could be more than a one night stand. There is action, fighting and making up but will her expose ruin what her and Hunter have?
Wonderfully written.
The emotional impact on Jessica was apparent throughout the story. She was dealing with her past, a crazy abusive ex, a devotion to her dying mother, and hope for a future. She proves that you can be strong person in spite of dealing with emotional issues and difficult choices. She struggles daily but doesn't give up.
Hunter is also dealing with his past that leaves a hole in his life that Jessica is able to fill. He's a strong character that provides Jessica what she needs. Sometimes by helping others you are rewarded in a way that you are not expecting. I loved the strength of Hunter's character. The perfect male...hard enough to take control, but soft enough to comfort and make you feel safe.
You can feel the inward battles that the characters are dealing with in a realistic manner. Anyone who has ever dealt with emotional trauma knows that it is not easily forgotten. It takes time and sometimes feelings and thoughts will pop back up when you least expect them. The author captured this surprisingly well. There was also a feeling of hope. Well done!
First time reading this author but looking forward to more.
MC romances can be a hit-or-miss affair, but this one really scratched my itch by including a really feisty female lead, and lots of action, danger and excitement. The start is a little disjointed, but once you get into the action you won't want to let up - it'll leave your heart pounding throughout, and not just from the steamy love scenes.
I received an exclusive ARC in exchange for an honest review of this book.
I loved Jessica and Hunter in this book. Both of them were two souls who needed to find their other half and they found them in each other. The trials Jessica went through were the things that most of us would want to just curl up and die, but Jessica didn't. The author wrote her as a victim who decided not to be a victim any more and with that strength, she found the ability to do the right thing when faced with probably the toughest decision in her life. I loved the car scene! It played well into the theme of the story. Hunter wasn't a total alpha male...he was the perfect man. Slightly damaged but there for his girl. Thanks for the epilogue. It put a nice finish on a lovely story.
I would have to say that Lorde must have done her homework in delving into all the possibilities of a biker club. It was definitely toned down, but it covered the surface. What stood out was Jessica and Hunter...so different and yet so very much the same when it comes to being broken. Yeah, there were differences and yet bringing the two together gave them back all the missing pieces. It also showed that even a family of bikers have their betrayals and it isn't always someone they already labeled a rat. Sometimes you don't see what is staring you in the face. I cried over the loss of Pooh Bear, but so glad that it apparently was the only loss worth crying over here.
I very much enjoyed this read and will be keeping my eye open for more of Lorde yet to come.
